Vande Hey Brantmeier Auto Group Timeline

1978

Tom Vande Hey opened Tom Vande Hey Auto Sales in Little Chute, WI. The business started its operation with eight used vehicles and one employee. This location quickly grew to 25 vehicles and three employees.

1980

Dave Brantmeier became a full partner of the business and together they proceeded to open a second location in Menasha, WI in the spring of 1981.

1984

Seeking expansion and increased inventory, the Menasha location was sold in 1984 and the current location on Lynndale Drive in Appleton, WI location was purchased.

1991

Tom and Dave bought the GM and Chrysler franchise in Chilton, WI.

1998

A 16,000 square foot collision center was constructed on Breed St in Chilton, WI to accommodate the business's growing auto body repair services.

1999

To better serve our Fox Valley customer base and increase inventory, the original Little Chute location was sold and the Appleton location remodeled.



2000

Vande Hey Brantmeier acquired Central Garage of Potter adding the Jeep and Dodge brands to its Chrysler store in Chilton.

2001

Continuing their growth, a new 44,000 square foot GM store was built to accommodate the groups Chevrolet and Buick customers with increased selection, expanded services, and improved customer amenities.

2002

The previous GM facility at 516 N Madison St was remodeled by adding 13,000 square foot to accommodate the relocation of our Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep franchise.

2012

Today, we sell and service new Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram and Jeep vehicles at our two Chilton locations, which are located across from each other. Our Appleton location currently has 60-70 late model pre-owned vehicles. Together, our three locations have 62 employees and continue to operate under the daily leadership of Tom Vande Hey and Dave Brantmeier.

2012

The dealership added Express Lane Service Lanes at both locations in Chilton to better serve our customers. With the addition of the Express Lanes, the dealership is now able to quickly service all makes and models without a previously scheduled appointment and get customers back on the road in about 30 minutes.
